Living two blocks away, I take for granted that Scotty’s Brewhouse is so accessible. I hate to admit it, but yesterday was the first time I have eaten there all year! However, I am a seasoned vet, and have been there dozens of times in the past. Scotty’s hasn’t changed much, and that is a great thing. If it’s not broken, there is nothing to fix, right?
If you are trying to watch a game, this is definitely your go to spot on a Saturday or Sunday for football, basketball, or whatever other sporting event you are trying to watch. There are televisions at every angle. Combine that with great food, friendly service, and an awesome atmosphere, and no wonder why Scotty’s is one of the most popular hot spot restaurants/bars around Bloomington! Whether you are a family of four with little kids, a few college buddies watching some games, or a couple, Scotty’s can cater to you all with their ever friendly towels. The only establishment I know that gives out towels instead of napkins with the silverware. This makes so much sense because its great for the environment and you don’t have to go through a ton of napkins!
On to the food…burgers, wraps, and salads you can’t go wrong. For starters, it’s hard to stay away from the Dill Chips. All of their entrees come with your choice of either mac and cheese, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, or fresh vegetables. I am a huge fan of their Motown Philly wrap, which comes with steak, cheese, mushrooms, and onions in a honey wheat tortilla. I have had all of the sides, and they are all very solid! The build your own burger is also very popular, and you can’t go wrong with their waffle fries. Last but not least, their wings are usually the reason that I show up in the first place. An array of sauce options, and a towel to help with the messy hands and face, Scotty’s wings are a go to on the menu almost every time I go. The bar has the usual lineup with liquor, tons of beers on tap, and randomly they have deals on pitchers, which the waiter or waitress is usually great at mentioning. Just make sure to bring 2 forms of picture ID! The Super Bowl is only a week away…Get your game, food, and drink on at Scotty’s Brewhouse!
