Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Village Deli has you covered. Great atmosphere for friends and family. I go to VD about once a month and its usually on weekdays. I try to avoid going on weekends. Being in a prime location on Kirkwood, on Saturdays and Sundays from around 9am-1pm Village Deli is the hot spot and is usually packed. They have phenomenal buttermilk pancakes, which are the size of a regular size dinner plate. Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, or plain they are all great. I am a sucker for these every time I walk in and always acquiesce with my craving and order one or two. When I am not ordering pancakes I usually go with an egg white omelet with mushrooms, spinach, and swiss cheese. You can basically create any type of combination you want. They also have great biscuits and gravy!
For lunch there are plenty of sandwich options, which are labeled “Hall of Fame” sandwiches. The deli club comes with Baked ham, turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on whole wheat bread. After eating this I now realize why they call their sandwiches “Hall of Fame”,this is a pure knockout and a must try! If you are in the mood for something to be fired on the grill there are many burgers to choose from as well as grilled chicken. If trying to go the lighter route there are soups and salads as well.
Village Deli is a well-rounded restaurant that could satisfy anybody and everybody’s palette. It’s very difficult even for the pickiest eater not to be able to find a dish they like at Village Deli. Reasonable prices, and friendly and timely service, and best of all the food is great!
