Anyetsangs Little Tibet

by BtownMenus on October 27, 2010

A hidden treasure in my eyes, if you are in the mood for Thai, Tibetian, or Indian food, Little Tibet is the place for you.   Everything is homemade, and the great aroma from the kitchen floats around the restaurant. The menu is diverse and quite varied with both meat and veggie options.  The price is reasonable and most dishes come with salad and soup.  I had never tried curry before venturing out and finding Little Tibet.  Their Green Curry is addicting, as I literally crave it multiple times a week!  The Curry comes with your choice of beef, chicken, pork, or tofu with carrots, green beans, zucchini, bamboo shoots and mushrooms.  The level of spice ranges from 1-5, 5 being the hottest.

Little Tibet’s go to dish and a staple of the Tibetan diet are the Mo Mo’s.  Your choice of steamed or fried homemade beef dumplings with ground beef, green onion, yellow onion, and their secret seasoning.  You can select from either chicken, beef, potato, or cheese, as the filling in your Mo-Mo.  I highly recommend the chicken and beef.  The cheese and potato were a bit too doughy for my liking.

The Tom Ka soup is incredible as the broth consists of Coconut milk, lime juice, lime leaf, lemon grass with your choice of chicken or tofu.  Included with all soups is Jasmine rice, which is a fitting compliment to mix in with the soup.   This dish alone was enough to satisfy my hunger.  My eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but nothing wrong with leftovers from Little Tibet!
