Open now for about a year and a half, Butch’s Grillacatessen has taken Bloomington by storm. Owner, and an Indiana alumni, Jared Eisenberg realized that there was a need in this town that wasn’t being filled. A pizza, sandwiches, burgers, cold cuts, you name it and Butch’s probably has it. Boasting the largest and most diverse menu around town, all of the food is grade a high quality! I have been going to Butch’s on a consistent basis since they opened. Whether it’s their signature subs such as the Marlboro mustang, or a bacon barbeque cheeseburger, Butch’s will leave you stuffed and wanting to come back the next day to try something new.
I highly recommend any of their sandwiches, especially the grand central sub and the Marlboro mustang. The Grand Central sub has chicken breast, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, arugula and balsamic vinaigrette. While the Marlboro Mustang consists of an Italian Chicken cutlet that is chopped up, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, arugula, tomatoes, and balsamic vinaigrette. Butch’s also has great pasta dishes, which they serve from 5pm-10pm every night. Jared does an amazing job of balancing such a large menu and still ensuring that each dish is homemade and fresh! By the way, if you have a sweet tooth, their chocolate peanut butter cookies are arguably the best in town!
The Marlboro Mustang
They have great pizza, calzones, chicken ziti rolls, and my favorite is their $5 and $6.50 lunch menu. Butch’s is known for having insane specials, and every day from 11am-3pm you can get a $5 calzone, chicken pita, Gyro, Falafel or many other selections. Order Butch’s on Btownmenus.com and take advantage of these exclusive specials! They also have 2 for 1 Tuesdays which means all day Tuesday its buy 1 slice of pizza get 1 free, Get full sub for the price of a ½ sub, and buy one soup get one free. Make sure to take advantage of Butch’s amazing deals!
BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger
Great for dine in, delivery, or takeout, Butch’s is open until midnight during the week, and 3am Thursdays-Saturdays. Any age group will enjoy this restaurant, and it’s impossible to get sick of the food because it is so good and there are such a variety of options! I eat at or order out from Butch’s at least twice a week; will you jump on the bandwagon with me?
